Hello!
I’m doing well feeling safe. I’m in a part of NYC that has not experienced looting. Some businesses took precautions and boarded up in my neighborhood, but I think they are less than 5% of the businesses in the area.

I still went grocery shopping today. I wish our so-called leaders both local and national could pull it together and make some comforting statements and also provide security for everyday, working people, but that seems to be a real challenge.
In my opinion the media and politicians continue to compound the problem especially with analysis and opinions about what normalcy is and what has been disrupted. Yes, we know things have changed, people are upset and crying out for justice so let’s take some decisive action restore order and reform the broken parts of our criminal justice system.
The local people I work with in NYC all know people who are affected by riots and looters, some even affected themselves. Locals have to stand in front of their local stores like Target with their arms locked together and prevent looters from breaking in. Shouldn’t the police and army be performing that role? Things are a little backwards.
Glad you are staying safe!
