Heading to Spain from Boston, MA this morning! I’ll post some photos of the amazing sights of JFK Airport in New York! Yes, I was being sarcastic . . .

Personal Trivia: It was at this very same terminal and gate that I boarded a Northwest Airlines flight to go to Minnesota for college. It was August 2001 so my parents were still allowed to come to the gate and say goodbye! Now, well, things are very different in the post-911 world . . .

May 21st 5:00 PM EST: Now at JFK New York. Sitting at an Irish pub and just wasting time on my 9 hr layover before departing for Spain, which is good cause I can make posts like this one!

Yes, I did look at getting a later connecting flight so I wouldn’t have to wait so long, but the extra cost of $600-$900 didn’t seem worth it.

Also, a note on airline lounges, SkyClub, Virginia Atlantic Lounge etc. They are over-crowded and there are lines to get in them and, depending on what lounge membership you have like “priority pass” there are restrictions on what time you can use certain lounges. So keep it in mind if you opt for going to a lounge at a busy airport hub.
