Back at it!

Well, the five days I had off were really nice. Didn’t do anything special, just did some running, reading, flute playing, and other odds and ends. I visited another travel nurse in Queens and had a lovely Uber ride and got these nice shots of NYC skyline!

So, it seems like the COVID situation in New York throws out a new problem weekly. No policy decisions on a government level happen in a vacuum, change one thing or implement a new policy and lives are going to be affected. Most notably this week, the policy about shutting down the NYC subway for decontamination between the hours of 0100 to 0600 has led to a mass exodus of the homeless from the subway system and a large majority end up in the ERs of the city for a good portion of the night.
