Update April 15th 9:10pm: I uploaded my first excerpt to the “Flute Music” section
Update April 15th 7:22pm: I finally got official orientation materials and will start again tomorrow
So the most exciting thing I have to report today is . . . Wuhan and Steve and their brood are actually mourning doves . Yes, that is the exciting news for the day because my orientation has been delayed due to my start date not being communicated to my hospital. You can read more about this development here “For my Nurse/Doc/Tech Friends.”
Right so, the mourning doves whom my land lord told me were named “Wuhan” and “Steve” and their babies are doing well on the window outside my room under the air conditioner.

Wuhan and Steve; I don’t know who is who. Can’t see their brood, but can hear them from time to time. The parents coo a lot to keep them calm.

So geographically, I’m in the upper part of Manhattan pretty much on the border of the Bronx, but the area I’m in is still considered Manhattan. It’s about 9 miles away from the downtown NYC so not nearly close enough to see some of the tall skyscrapers.
Anyway, I’m taking the unexpected down time to catch my breath and prepare for the difficult work that is undoubtedly coming. I’ve been getting in some good practice playing flute and you can check out some my excerpts in the “Flute Music” section. Give me an hour or two to upload something to the music page. Okay take care everyone.
